DUCKS SIGN ALEX DOSTIE TO THREE-YEAR ENTRY-LEVEL CONTRACT

The Anaheim Ducks have signed center Alex Dostie to a three-year entry-level contract. Per club policy, financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Dostie, 20 (4/13/97), has collected 86-137=223 points with a +55 rating and 58 penalty minutes (PIM) in 233 career Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) games with Gatineau and Charlottetown. He has also appeared in 34 career QMJHL Playoff games, earning 14-14=28 points with 23 PIM.

Selected by Anaheim in the fourth round (115th overall) of the 2016 NHL Draft, Dostie split the 2016-17 season with Gatineau and Charlottetown, recording 30-41=71 points with a +10 rating and 14 PIM in 63 games. He posted 8-8=16 points in 13 postseason games with Charlottetown, helping lead the Islanders to the QMJHL Semi-finals against Blainville-Boisbriand. Following the QMJHL Playoffs, Dostie made his professional debut with the San Diego Gulls of the American Hockey League (AHL) in Game 4 of the second round of the Calder Cup Playoffs on May 12 vs. San Jose.
