The Anaheim Ducks announced today that the National Hockey League (NHL) club has traded Shea Theodore to the Vegas Golden Knights in exchange for the Golden Knights’ agreement to select defenseman Clayton Stoner in the 2017 NHL Expansion Draft.
Theodore, 21 (8/3/95), has appeared in 53 career NHL games with the Ducks, earning 5-12=17 points with a +1 rating and 30 penalty minutes (PIM). The 6-1, 194-pound defenseman has played 20 career Stanley Cup Playoff games, collecting 2-6=8 points and ranked second among all NHL rookies in scoring in the postseason. Theodore has also appeared in 89 career American Hockey League (AHL) games with the San Diego Gulls, recording 18-50=68 points with a +3 rating and 48 PIM.
Stoner, 32 (2/19/85), has appeared in 360 NHL career games with Minnesota and Anaheim, collecting 7-41=48 points with a +5 rating and 459 PIM. The 6-4, 215-pound defenseman has also collected 2-3=5 points with 36 PIM in 31 career Stanley Cup Playoff games.
