Willie O'Ree Night
On Friday, November 16 the San Diego Gulls will honor the legendary Willie O'Ree, who was named a member of the Hockey Hall of Fame's 2018 inductee class. O'Ree made history in the NHL back in 1958 by playing for the Boston Bruins, becoming the first African-American hockey player in the NHL and breaking the color barrier. Willie played for the San Diego Gulls of the Western Hockey League from 1967-1974 and still resides in San Diego.
Fans in attendance will receive FREE Willie O'Ree bobbleheads while supplies last, marked with the official logo of the Hockey Hall of Fame. Fans are encouraged to be in their seats by 6:50 as we will honor O'Ree on the ice before he addresses the crowd. Tickets are moving quickly, get yours today! CLICK HERE to get your tickets.
