GAME PREVIEW: The Gulls kick off a seven-home-game month tonight vs. the Stockton Heat (7:05 p.m.)

San Diego enters tonight’s contest with a 19-18-1-1 (40 points) record on the season. Stockton’s current record is 18-16-1-2 with 39 points. It has been exactly two months since the teams last met, a road game where the Gulls fell 4-2 to the Heat. Both are tied for the season series, 2-2 in matchups.

During their December 5 faceoff, the Gulls and Heat traded off scoring through the first two frames, but Stockton owned the third period, scoring twice to seal the victory. San Diego winger Kyle Bonis and defenseman Andrew O’Brien netted the two Gulls goals.

San Diego and Stockton will face each other eight more times this season (including tonight). Four of these contests will be held at Valley View Casino Center and four will be held at Stockton Arena in Stockton, CA.
