GULLS HOPE TO STAY STRONG VS. SAN JOSE

GAME PREVIEW: Gulls Take on the San Jose Barracuda in a Pacific Division Matchup at Home (7:05p.m.)

The Gulls (17-14-0-1; 35 points) face the San Jose Barracuda (16-10-3-3; 38 points) for the eighth matchup of the season, tonight at Valley View Casino Center. The Gulls currently lead the season series between the two teams, 4-2-1.

The Gulls and Barracuda last met on Dec. 18 in San Diego, an overtime finish ending in a 3-2 Gulls victory.

Gulls winger Stefan Noesen and defenseman Shea Theodore notched goals for San Diego in regulation while San Jose defenseman Karl Stollery and forward Nikolay Goldobin netted the Barracudas two goals to send the game to an overtime decision.

Noesen notched his second of the game, and third in consecutive games, lifting the Gulls over San Jose at the 3:11 mark of OT.

Goaltender Anton Khudobin made 30 saves in his first start with San Diego to claim the victory.

The Gulls and Barracuda will meet five more times in the regular season (including tonight). Two of these contests will be held at SAP Center in San Jose, CA, and three will be at Valley View Casino Center.
