GAME PREVIEW: San Diego Looks to Move Through to the Second Round of Calder Cup Playoffs by Clinching Series Tonight vs. Texas (7:05 p.m. PT)

The Gulls look to carry momentum from last night’s victory with the opportunity to clinch the first round series tonight.

In last night’s contest, Brandon Montour opened scoring with a power play goal at 5:55 of the first period to give San Diego the early lead.

Gulls winger Nick Ritchie made it a 2-0 game at 8:51 of the second period. Mike Sgarbossa added another power play goal at 11:58 followed by the fourth Gulls goal at 14:27 by Joseph Cramarossa.

Defenseman Esa Lindell got Texas on the board at 3:22 of the third period to cut the deficit to three. Stefan Noesen answered back at 5:35 to make it a 5-1 game. Chris Wagner settled the final score at 15:21 of the final period.

Puck drop for tonight’s Game 4 is set for 7:05pm PT. Live game play-by-play will be broadcast on ESPN 1700AM and live game stream can be accessed via AHLLive.com.
