GAME PREVIEW: San Diego and Stockton Match Up in Second of Back-to-Backs (7:05 p.m.)

San Diego enters tonight’s contest with a 28-20-1-2 (59 points) record on the season. Stockton’s current record is 23-23-1-2 with 49 points. The Gulls are currently 4-1-0-2 vs. the Heat. The teams met last night at Valley View Casino Center, a contest resulting in a 3-1 Gulls victory.

Last night, after a quiet first period, Gulls center Chris Mueller opened scoring at 3:25 of the middle frame. The Gulls went on a run, following up with two consecutive power play goals. Shea Theodore netted the first at 5:35 on the two-man advantage, followed up with a goal by Stefan Noesen at 6:43.

Heat winger Emile Poirier avoided the shutout with a power play goal at 11:47 of the final frame.

The Gulls outshot the Heat 34-22 in the victory.

San Diego and Stockton will face each other five more times this season (including tonight). Two of these contests will be held at Valley View Casino Center and three will be held at Stockton Arena in Stockton, CA.
