GAME PREVIEW: San Diego and Stockton Face Off in Tenth Contest of the Season (7:05 p.m.)

The Gulls are currently 5-2-1-1 vs. the Heat. The teams last met at Stockton Arena on March 30, a contest resulting in a 4-2 Gulls victory.

Stockton opened scoring in the matchup, after both teams went scoreless in the first period, with a goal by defenseman Oliver Kylington at 4:05 into the middle frame. Matt Bailey tied it up with a shorthanded goal at 6:22. Stefan Noesen put the Gulls up by one with a power play goal at 13:37.

Kenny Ryan stretched the lead to two at 7:08 of the third period. Stockton center Drew Shore closed the gap with the Heat’s second goal at 11:24. Nick Ritchie settled the final score with an empty netter with a minute and 15 seconds left in regulation.

San Diego and Stockton will face each other three more times this season (including tonight). Tonight will be the final time the teams face off at Valley View Casino Center and two will be held at Stockton Arena in Stockton, CA.
