GAME PREVIEW: The Gulls Face Pacific Division Rival at Home Tonight (7:05p.m. PT)

The divisional rivalry continues as San Diego and Ontario meet for the seventh of twelve regular-season matchups, tonight at Valley View Casino Center. The Gulls lead the season series between the two clubs, 4-2, but are coming off of a blank effort in their last faceoff.

In that matchup, Ontario center Derek Army opened scoring, a power play goal with just 27 seconds left in the first period. LoVerde, Dowd and Samuels-Thomas (two goals) combined for the 5-0 Reign victory.

San Diego tallied seven penalties for 17 PIM in the contest while Ontario had 13 PIM with five infractions.

The Gulls have a current season record of 19-17-1-1 (40 points) entering tonight’s game. The Reign are at the top of the Pacific Division with a 24-10-3-1 record (52 points).
