GAME PREVIEW: San Diego to Face Texas in Game 2 of the First Round of Calder Cup Playoffs Tonight (5:00 p.m. PT)

The Gulls continue their road to the Calder Cup Championship, tonight, as they take on the Texas Stars for Game 2 of the first round.

Game 1 took place at Cedar Park Center in Cedar Park, TX on Thursday night. San Diego opened scoring on a goal by center Antoine Laganiere 15 minutes into the frame. Texas center Justin Dowling scored the lone goal for the Stars, a shorthanded goal just 39 seconds into the second frame. Gulls winger Nick Ritchie hit the back of the net at 15:58, putting San Diego back up by one heading to the locker room for the final intermission. Chris Mueller sealed the final score for the Gulls just over halfway through the final frame.

Games 3, 4* and 5* (*if necessary) will take place at Valley View Casino Center in San Diego, CA.

Puck drop for Game 2 is set for 5:00pm PT. Live game play-by-play will be broadcast on ESPN 1700AM and live game stream can be accessed via AHLLive.com.
