GAME PREVIEW: The Gulls Face the Ontario Reign for Fourth Matchup of the Regular Season (6:00p.m.)

The Gulls hit the road for the second game of back-to-backs, following a 3-2 overtime victory vs. the San Jose Barracuda last night.

The Gulls and Reign last matched up in a home-and-home series on Nov. 27 and 28. San Diego came out on top in both contests and currently lead the season series, 2-1, going into tonight’s game.

During the teams’ last meeting, Tim Jackman, Nic Kerdiles and Antoine Laganiere all found the back of the net for San Diego, while goalie Ryan Faragher stopped 24 shots in his first start of the season to capture the victory.

Left wing Adrian Kempe scored the solo Reign goal in the third period to avoid the shutout.

Entering this evening’s game, the Gulls are 13-10-0-1 (27 points). The Reign have a season record of 15-4-2-0 (32 points).

The Gulls and Reign will meet nine more times in the regular season (including tonight). Four of these contests will be held at Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario, CA, and five will be at Valley View Casino Center.
