Reading Is The Goal Goes Virtual

Traditionally, our Reading is the Goal program is open only to fourth grade classrooms in the Greater San Diego Area. We coordinate directly with school district leadership, principals and teachers to encourage classrooms to sign up and participate. During these uncertain times with many schools operating virtually, we have chosen to operate virtually as well during our 2020-21 season, and open the opportunity to all children throughout our community.

All registered participants will receive a Reading is the Goal bookmark, the opportunity to win books and other special prizes and a special invitation to join our monthly virtual reading event, Gulliver and Friends Make Reading Their Goal.

This year’s program will begin on Monday, January 4, 2021 and end on Friday, April 30, 2021.

During this time, participants should make reading their goal by filling up as many 30-minute blocks on their reading log as they can. Participants may register to participate until March 31. After completing the reading log to the best of your ability (does not need to be complete), you should submit THIS FORM by Friday, April 30 for a chance to win one of 10 Reading is the Goal prize packs.
