Welcome to your Reading is the Goal Headquarters! This website will serve as your home base for everything happening throughout this year's Reading is the Goal program. We encourage you to check back regularly for updates, announcements, and resources. Throughout the program, we'll post our monthly Read Along videos featuring San Diego Gulls players, and teachers will also be able to access and submit the Final Participation Form here at the conclusion of the program. Be sure to bookmark this page and visit often so you don't miss any important information.
Due to the incredible support and high volume of sign-ups, enrollment for the 2026-27 Reading is the Goal Program is now closed, we will no longer be accepting new sign-ups.

Thank you for enrolling your classrooms in this year's Reading is the Goal program! We are excited to have you join us for another season of reading, learning, and fun with the San Diego Gulls. Your participation helps encourage students to build strong reading habits while earning exciting rewards along the way.
All teachers enrolled in the program should download this year's reading logs using the links below and distribute them to participating students. Please use the reading log style that best fits your classroom.
Please note that printing the reading logs does not automatically enroll your classroom in the program or guarantee participation. Participation is limited to classrooms that completed the registration process prior to the deadline.

Program Dates
The 2026-27 Reading is the Goal program will run from Monday, November 2, 2026, through Friday, February 5, 2027.
During this time, students are encouraged to make reading their goal by tracking their reading minutes on their reading logs and developing consistent reading habits both in and out of the classroom.
Important Dates to Remember
- November 2, 2026 – Program Begins
- January 25, 2027 – Online participation submission form opens
- February 5, 2027 – Reading is the Goal program concludes
- February 12, 2027 – Deadline to submit final participation numbers
Submitting Final Participation Numbers
The online submission form for final participation totals will open on January 25, 2027, and close on February 12, 2027.
Please Note: Final participation numbers will no longer be accepted via email. All classroom totals must be submitted through the online form before the deadline.
