Escondido City Council Approves MOU + Upcoming Community Meetings

On June 3, 2026, the Escondido City Council unanimously approved a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with The Rinks Foundation to explore the project’s feasibility and community benefits. Thank you to those community members who submitted public comments on the project.  

 

As part of this process, the City and the Rinks Foundation are gathering community feedback to help inform future City Council consideration.

 

Come share your ideas and learn more about The Rinks Foundation’s proposal to bring a three-sheet community ice facility to Kit Carson Park.
