The San Diego Gulls will take on the Ontario Reign in the second game of their back-to-back rivalry series tonight at Toyota Arena (6 p.m.; TV: AHLTV on FLoHockey; Radio: Gulls Audio Network).

This will be the first matchup of the rivalry on Ontario’s home ice. The rivals faced off for the first time this season last night in an action-packed game at Pechanga Arena San Diego. The Gulls took game one, defeating the Reign 6-4.

Eight Gulls skaters added to their point records last night. Judd Caulfield began the scoring with a shorthanded goal to mark San Diego’s first of the season and his third of his career. He later picked up three assists, giving him a four-point night which is a career high. Nico Myatovic joined in with a second shorthanded goal for the night, marking his second of his AHL career. Myatovic also went on to add an assist to his record, logging his first multi-point game of the season. Nathan Gaucher added to the scoreboard after netting his first goal since he returned from injury. Tim Washe joined in on the scoring, netting two goals and taking one assist for a career-high tying three-point night. Justin Bailey logged his second of the year on a breakaway goal which gave him back-to-back game winning goals.

Ryan Carpenter picked up an assist on Myatovic’s goal, extending his point count to five this season (2-3=5). Nikolas Brouillard put another assist on his record, giving him four points in two games. Stian Solberg also got his hands on the puck, logging his second assist and point this season. Ville Husso stopped a season-high 41 shots.

San Diego looks to continue this momentum tonight and extend their winning streak to three games.

"I was telling the guys I think that's probably the coolest part," Washe said. "We get these guys back-to-back, a little home-and-home. They work hard, they’re a well-structured team, but so are we. So, we're excited to make some adjustments, and I know they will too. We're excited to see what happens."

The Gulls will next face off against the Bakersfield Condors on Friday, Nov. 1,4 at Pechanga Arena San Diego (7 p.m.).
