The San Diego Gulls defeated the Tucson Roadrunners, 2-1, to extend their win streak to four games tonight at FivePoint Arena.

Matt Lorito scored the go-ahead goal at 8:53 of the final frame.

Hunter Drew dug the puck out from the corner, sending it to Alex Limoges along the side wall. The rookie center found Lorito with a quick pass, and the veteran's one-timed shot snuck through LaCouvee for his second goal of the season.

The trio of forwards each have multi-point nights.

Tucson jumped on the board first Roy scored a power-play goal with just 1:28 left in the opening period.

The former Gull crashed the front of the net, whacking away at a loose puck in the pads of Eriksson Ek. Eventually he found it, and quickly scooped it over the goaltender and into the back of the net for his ninth goal of the season.

Despite allowing the goal, Eriksson Ek made two dazzling saves in the first period.

The rookie netminder passed an early test, making a stellar glove save on Kevin Hancock's shot from the slot at 4:51 of the first. The center pounced on an errant pass, picking up the puck with no Gulls in sight. He fired a quick snap shot on Eriksson Ek, who aggressively came to the top of his crease to glove away the scoring chance.

Just before San Diego went shorthanded, Eriksson Ek came up with another great save, sliding across his crease to deny Cameron Hebig's one-timed shot.

Drew evened the score with his third goal of the season at 8:35 of the second period.

Limoges chopped a bouncing puck that Lorito carried over Tucson's blue line. The veteran center found Drew alone in the middle of the ice, and fed the defenseman-turned-forward the puck. Drew's wrist shot sailed past the LaCouvee’s glove for the game-tying goal.

Eriksson Ek kept the score tied at one with a late-period save on Michael Carcone.

The Tucson forward won a foot race for the puck and cut in alone on net. He held the puck as he went across the crease, looking to slide a shot between the legs of Eriksson Ek. San Diego's goaltender denied the bid, sliding over with his pad to thwart the dangerous chance.
