Lundestrom Loaned to Team Sweden for World Junior Championship

The Anaheim Ducks have loaned center Isac Lundestrom to Team Sweden for the upcoming 2019 IIHF World Junior Championship from Dec. 26-Jan. 5 in Vancouver and Victoria, British Columbia. 

 

Lundestrom, 19 (11/6/99), collected six assists (0-6=6) in 12 games with San Diego. Selected by Anaheim in the first round (23rd overall) of the 2018 NHL Draft, the 6-0, 187-pound forward recorded two assists in his AHL debut with the Gulls on, Nov. 16 vs. Bakersfield, becoming the third-youngest Gull to appear in a game at 19 years and 10 days.

 

Lundestrom began the 2018-19 season with the Ducks, collecting 0-2=2 points in 15 games, including his first career point (assist), Oct. 13 at Dallas. At 18 years 11 months and 2 days, the Gallivare, Sweden native became the third-youngest Duck and youngest Ducks forward to make his NHL debut on Oct. 8 at Detroit.
