Raphael Lavoie recorded an empty-net goal to put the Condors ahead by four with 4:35 left in regulation.

Phil Esposito extended Bakersfield's lead to three, batting a puck out of the air and past Olle Eriksson Ek for his seventh goal of the season at 7:06 of the period.

Ryan McLeod scored his second goal of the game to restore Bakersfield's lead at 5:16 of the period.

Chase De Leo put San Diego on the board at 4:29 of the final frame.

Adam Cracknell extended the Bakersfield lead with his eighth goal of the season at 9:31 of the middle frame. The former Gull deflected a point shot from Ryan Stanton past Olle Eriksson Ek to double the Condors advantage.

Stanton recorded his second multi-point game with a season after grabbing an assist on the goal. Both games are against San Diego.

McLeod opened the scoring at 2:08 of the first period, darting from behind the net and wiring a shot past Eriksson Ek for his 13th goal of the season.

Rookie defenseman Michael Kesselring collected his first American Hockey League point and assist on the goal.

The Gulls won four of the first six meetings against the Condors (4-2-0-0), but all four wins are on home ice. As home teams dominated the season series, San Diego will look to prove it can secure a win in enemy territory.

After a difficult start to the year on the road, the Gulls flipped the script and won four of their last five road games, outscoring teams 26-20 over that span.

The two teams enter as two of the top teams on home ice. Bakersfield is riding a 12-game point streak at home, going 11-0-1-0 over that span to collect 23 of a possible 24 points.
