Top 10 Moments: Gulls Debut Blue Line Blonde Ale

With the 2022-23 season in the books, SanDiegoGulls.com looks back at some of the biggest moments, from individual highlights to impressive theme nights and more. Today we continue our Top-10 Moments series, spotlighting the debut of the Gulls Blue Line Blonde Ale.
This season, the San Diego Gulls unveiled a specialty beer of its own design, the Gulls Blue Line Blonde Ale, brewed in partnership with Second Chance Beer Co.
The light, crisp American Blonde Ale was inspired by San Diego’s hometown hockey team and their loyal fans, featuring the same iconic Gulls imagery and the distinct blue color of the team’s Third Jersey.
The wordmark “Gulls” across the can is an homage to the team’s history, a nod to the first version of the San Diego Gulls team that debuted in the Western Hockey League in 1966.
The Blue Line Blondes were a part of every home game, also starring as the featured beer for all 2022-23 Friday game promotions. The brew quickly became a staple for America’s Finest Fans, selling 51,576 cans since its debut on Oct. 20, 2022.
Gulls fans needing a hockey fix and a crushable, easy-drinking local craft beer can still enjoy a Blue Line Blonde Ale at any Second Chance Beer Co. location and at select retail partners across San Diego County.
