Reading Is The Goal

 

The Reading is the Goal program has officially come to a close for 2026. All teachers should submit their participation numbers using the link that was sent to their email. Please check your inbox for an email from us, and if you don’t see it, be sure to look in your spam folder.

Reading is the Goal is a free program open only to elementary school grade classrooms in the Greater San Diego Area. We coordinate directly with school district leadership, principals and teachers to encourage classrooms to sign up and participate. Teachers or principals must sign up their classrooms at the link below.     

  

Each participating classroom will receive a minimum of three new books for their classroom and monthly read along videos with their favorite Gulls players.   

  

Students in each participating classroom will receive a take home reading log and an exciting Gulls prize pack upon completion of the program. This year’s program will begin on Monday, November 3rd, 2025, and end on Friday, February 6, 2026.     

  

During this time, participants should make reading their goal by filling up their reading logs as much as they can.     

  

IMPORTANT DATES TO REMEMBER:      

• November 3, 2025 - Program Begins.     

• February 6, 2026 - Last day for students to turn in their reading log.      

• February 13, 2026 - Last day for teacher to submit student reading times.
