The San Diego Gulls fell short to the Colorado Eagles at Pechanga Arena San Diego tonight, 3-1.
Scoring began in the first period when Matthew Phillips put one through on the power play. This marks his third goal, 10th point, and third straight game with a point. Tim Washe got his hands on the assist which marks six points in eight games played for the rookie. Yegor Sidorov was also credited as an assist, his fifth point this season. The helper gives him a four-game point streak.
Colorado tied the game with five and a half minutes left in the second period and later took the lead almost six minutes into the third.
Despite San Diego’s attempts, they could not get one through to tie it back up. The game was secured for the Eagles after finding a third goal on an empty net.
Tonight marked forward Jan Mysak’s 200th career AHL game.
The Gulls will move forward, taking on the Henderson Silver Knights for the fourth time this season on Wednesday, Nov. 5 at Lee’s Family Forum (7 p.m. PST).
