The San Diego Gulls fell 5-2 to the Henderson Silver Knights in the second game of the back-to-back series at Lee’s Family Forum tonight, 5-2.

The Gulls opened the scoring in the first period with a power-play goal by Yegor Sidorov, his first goal of the 2025-26 season. Defenseman Tristan Luneau got the lone assist on the goal, which was also his first assist of the season.

Henderson was able to get two goals through in the final four minutes of the first frame.

The Silver Knights scored again once overlapping tripping calls on Roland McKeown and Justin Bailey resulted in five-on-three play for a minute and 20 seconds to end the second period. The remaining time on Bailey’s penalty allowed Henderson to get one more through to start the third period.

Judd Caulfield cut Henderson’s lead in half, getting a wrist shot through for his third goal of the season. Ryan Carpenter logged his first assist of the night and Luneau logged his second.

Henderson found the net one more time to make the game 5-2.

Goaltender Ville Husso returned to the net tonight after having last night off and kept the game as close as possible, saving 30 of 35 shots.

The Gulls look for their second victory of the season on Wednesday Oct. 29 against the San Jose Barracuda at Pechanga Arena San Diego (7 p.m. PDT).
