The San Diego Gulls and Henderson Silver Knights will wrap up their three-game series tonight at Lee’s Family Forum (7 p.m.; TV: AHLTV on FLoHockey; Radio; Gulls Audio Network).

"Every game is a big game," head coach Matt McIlvane said. "It's all so tight. It's going to be this way all the way through. We're excited for our next opportunity."

San Diego and Henderson have both taken one game in the series so far. San Diego took a 4-1 victory on Friday, Dec. 12 while Henderson pulled out the win on Saturday, Dec. 13 in a 2-1 shootout victory.

Following the back-to-back series at Pechanga Arena San Diego this past weekend, the Gulls hold the seventh-place spot in the Pacific Division with a 10-6-6-1 record and 27 points. The Gulls have earned eight points in their five contests in December so far (3-0-1-1). Henderson currently occupies the eighth-place spot in the division with a 12-10-1-0 record with 25 points.

The matchup between the teams on Saturday sent San Diego to their first shootout of the season. Tim Washe was the lone scorer in regulation, netting his team-leading 11th goal. He currently ranks tied for fifth among AHL rookies in goals this season. The game saw Tomas Suchanek in goal for the second time this season. The Czechia native made a huge impact, saving 25-of-26 shots.

"We're so resilient," Washe said. "We like showing that. When we're playing together, playing the right way, we're never out of the game. Those pushes late in the game, we know they're coming. We've just got to win those battles and keep pressing."

The Gulls will continue on the road on Friday as they meet up with the Calgary Wranglers for the second time this season (6 p.m. PT).
