San Jose would pick up their third goal of the season with just 26 seconds remaining in the game.

Jacob Perreault scored on a backhand shot with 1:25 left in regulation to extend the lead to four.

Andrew Agozzino scored the third San Diego goal of the period, a power-play tally with under five minutes remaining in regulation.

Kodie Curran scored on the power play at 11:54 of the period to extend San Diego's advantage to three.

Keegan Lowe doubled San Diego's advantage, netting his second goal of the season just 1:39 into the final frame.

Benoit-Olivier Groulx fed the defenseman, who put his head down and blasted a slap shot toward the net. The puck deflected through traffic and fluttered past Josef Korenar for Lowe's 100th career American Hockey League point.

The Gulls mounted a comeback in the final half of the second period, entering the locker room with a one-goal advantage.

Chase De Leo gave San Diego its first lead, scoring on the power play with just over 22 seconds left in the middle frame.

Andrew Poturalski whipped a cross-ice pass to Vinni Lettieri, who patiently held the puck in the far circle. The wing saw De Leo cut toward the net, and fired the puck in his direction. The La Mirada, CA native put his body in front of the shot to deflect the puck past Josef Korenar for his ninth goal of the season.

Poturalski, who picked up his second assist of the period on the tally, reached 20 assists for the season.

Sam Carrick pulled the Gulls even at 12:15 of the period.

De Leo battled for a loose puck in the slot, eventually swiping it past a mass of a bodies and to a wide open Carrick. The captain gave Korenar a quick shoulder fake and slid the puck past the down-and-out goalie for his 12th goal of the season.

Alexander True put San Jose ahead with a shorthanded goal at 7:47 of the middle frame. The center finished off a 2-on-1 rush, depositing a Leann Bergmann pass by Olle Eriksson Ek for his seventh goal of the season.

With the assist, Bergmann has a multi-point night (0-2=2).

The two teams traded goals in a fast-paced, physical opening frame.

Maxim Letunov opened the scoring at 9:26 of the first period.

A blocked shot bounced right to the Barracuda forward, who pushed through a stick check to send an end-over-end shot past the glove of Olle Eriksson Ek and into the back of the net for his third goal of the season.

Matt Lorito drew San Diego even with his third goal of the season at 17:29 of the opening frame.

Brendan Guhle's shot from the point found traffic in front, with his attempt coming to an open Lorito at the post. The forward had his initial bid stopped by Josef Korenar, with the San Jose netminder swatting the puck behind the net. Hunter Drew corralled the loose puck and found Lorito with an aerial pass from behind the goal line. Lorito tipped the puck out of the air and onto the ice, snapping it past an unsuspecting Korenar for the game-tying tally.

Guhle continues to pick up assists, earning his sixth helper in his last six games.
