The San Diego Gulls fell to theTucson Roadrunners 3-2 in a shootout in tonight's game at Tucson Convention Center Arena.

Terry Broadhurst scored in regulation - and scored the game-winning shootout goal - to lead the Roadrunners to back-to-back wins.

Bryce Kindopp and Josh Lopina scored for the Gulls, who end the season with three straight losses (0-2-1).

Third Period Recap

Kindopp cut the deficit to one, scoring a power-play goal at 9:11 of the final frame.

Danny O'Regan and Greg Pateryn played pitch-and-catch with the puck at the top of the offensive zone, with the veteran center sending a pass back to the Gulls captain. Pateryn quickly sent a shot toward the net, and Kindopp did the rest, tipping the puck past Tucson netminder Ivan Prosvetov for his 12th goal of the season.

Lopina tied the game, scoring his first American Hockey League goal with six seconds left in regulation.

After missing his initial bid in front - and the team failing to push the rebound across - Lucas Elvenes collected the puck behind the net. He sent the puck to O'Regan, who quickly moved it across the ice to Lopina. The rookie center sent the puck on net, beating Prosvetov for the milestone marker and the game-tying tally.

Second Period Recap

Terry Broadhurst opened the scoring at 6:27 of the middle frame. The veteran left wing received a pass from Cole Hults in the slot, sending his shot the opposite direction of the sliding Lukas Dostal for his 11th goal of the season.

It's his second goal in as many games.

Hudson Fasching extended the lead, scoring his 14th goal of the season with 1:26 remaining in the period. Oliver Chau gathered the loose puck behind the net and found a wide-open Fasching in the slot. The right wing didn't miss, one-timing a puck past Dostal for his team-leading sixth goal against San Diego this season.
