The San Diego Gulls are set for a Thanksgiving Eve matchup with the Tucson Roadrunners tonight in southern Arizona starting at 6 p.m. PST.

San Diego will look to put a fork in Tucson for the first time in the 2025-26 season, who sit one point behind the Gulls in the Pacific Division standings with a 7-7-2-0 record. Last season, Tucson had a slight edge in the season set, but San Diego managed to take two of the last three matchups.

"First game in Tucson, so it’ll be nice to get there and get that first game to get a little more information," goaltender Ville Husso said. "It helps for sure at the end of the year, you start reading the guys better and it makes the game easier for you."

The Gulls suffered only their second regulation loss of November in their last game, a 3-2 home loss to the Calgary Wranglers on Saturday, Nov. 22. The loss snapped a seven-game points streak for San Diego, who will look to establish another hot streak tonight.

"Matt [McIlvane] said it, just hang together," Husso said. "A lot of good things in our game. Just a little reset. We’ll be ready to roll [tonight] and Friday at home. We’ll go game by game and just try to get two points."

The Gulls bust down the doors of Pechanga Arena following Thanksgiving for a Black Friday showdown against the Coachella Valley Firebirds with a special start time of 6 p.m. PST.
